But you cannot fool your gut for long – the connection between gut health and weight loss has been backed by various scientific studies. It is your gut which helps regulate metabolism, body weight, and body fat percentage, and green tea can only bring about short-term weight loss. The takeaway? It is not effective in the long run. Moreover, the over-consumption of green tea can lead to:

Moreover, caffeine-based supplements can potentially react with other supplements. Hence, green tea/coffee might initially help you lose a few pounds, but you will not be able to maintain it. Additionally, you might start suffering from other health problems, which will only make matters worse.

So, what can you do to lose weight and stay healthy at the same time?
